Black Lives Matter Memorial Project at Capilano University

On March 26, MoveUP VP Christy Slusarenko and Executive Board Member Anderson Charles took part in the official unveiling of the Black Lives Matter Memorial Project at Capilano University. The exhibit, announced on March 21 on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, is part of CapU’s series of year-round events to unite the campus community against hate and racism while embracing understanding and diversity.

MoveUP’s Human Rights & Multicultural Committee is proud to contribute $5,000 towards this exhibit as part of our union’s continued work to support important social justice causes, supporting our members who work at Capilano University, and demonstrating MoveUP’s connection to the campus community.

The exhibit is open from now until April 15, 2024 on the Main Campus (Birch Building) of Capilano University.
