MoveUP is a proud supporter of the United Way of British Columbia’s Period Promise Campaign and have been since it first launched as Tampon Tuesday.
This inspiring initiative is tackling period poverty, by ensuring everyone has access to the menstrual products they need. This year’s campaign runs from today, May 1, to Saturday, May 31, and we need your help to make it a success.
The purpose of the Period Promise Campaign is to provide free and accessible menstrual products across workplaces, community, and schools, breaking the stigma while building healthier and more inclusive communities. The campaign aims to eliminate barriers for people in our communities who can’t afford these necessities.
This issue isn’t just a women’s issue. It is an equity issue and an issue about creating inclusive spaces. We all have friends, family, co-workers, and other people in our lives who may be affected by period poverty, and this is about initiative is about helping people in our communities.
