BC Needs $15 Minimum Wage ASAP

September 14, 2017

The BC government has promised to raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2021. That’s not soon enough for the half a million workers who make less than $15 per hour.

MoveUP supports the BC Federation of Labour campaign asking the government to make it happen sooner. Please join the Fed in giving out leaflets, frisbees and wallet cards:

Friday, September 15, Commercial Skytrain Station in Vancouver at 7:45 am

If you can’t make it to the event, consider writing the Minister of Labour, Harry Bains. Tell him that we need a $15/hour minimum wage ASAP!

You can email the Minister HERE.  We’ve included a sample message below:

Seattle has a $15/hour minimum wage. Alberta will join them in 2017 and Ontario shortly after in 2019. Why should British Columbians have to wait when we have the highest cost of living in the country?

THanks for your support. Together, we can build an economy that works for everyone.

Kindly RSVP to Angela Boscariol if you are attending the event Friday: mailroom@bcfed.ca
