MoveUP is pleased to announce our members who work at BC Transit in Victoria have ratified their tentative agreement.

The new agreement runs through to March 31, 2029. MoveUP represents over 300 public sector workers who work at BC Transit, primarily in administrative roles.

“We’re very pleased to reach this deal for our members who work at BC Transit,” said Annette Toth, President of MoveUP. “Working within the constraints of the public sector mandate, we were able to address many of the issues our members brought to our attention at the outset of bargaining. Through the negotiating process we were able to address many of their concerns in this collective agreement.

“While our members now have the security of their new collective agreement, our union and our members remain firmly in solidarity with the members of Unifor 333 who are still working towards a deal for the transit operators at BC Transit.”

In addition to wage increases in line with the public sector mandate, other features of the new collective agreement include the addition of a new job group at a higher wage category, adjusted vacation entitlements to allow members to earn vacation sooner, a new health spending account, increased benefits coverage, and more.
