MoveUP at the 2018 Lunar New Year parade

The Year of the Dog officially began in the Lunar New Year – also referred to as Chinese New Year – calendar on Friday, February 16, 2018 celebrated by many Asian cultures.

As has been tradition for many years, MoveUP members took part in the annual Lunar New Year parade in Vancouver’s Chinatown held on the following Sunday this year, February 18.

A brisk, but sunny day made for perfect conditions as several MoveUP members, including Executive Board member Christy Slusarenko, decked out in snazzy red MoveUP scarves handed out lucky red packet envelopes to the crowd on hand.

Thank you to all the MoveUP members who volunteered at this year’s event.
