Nominations Now Open for MoveUP’s 2021 General Election of Executive Board and Officers

Nominations are now open for the election of MoveUP’s executive board members and officers.
General elections are held every three years. The positions open for election are the president, secretary-treasurer, and executive board members. These positions will all be elected for a three-year term, ending in the fall of 2024.

Nomination form and instructions outlining all of the requirements of the constitution governing the nomination of officers for all of the positions above, as well as the president and secretary-treasurer positions, are also posted on the MoveUP website at moveuptogether.ca/election2021.
Please ensure your nomination form includes at least the minimum number of nominators required for the position you are seeking election for. As per our constitution, candidates and nominators must be members of MoveUP in good standing.
Completed nomination forms must be received by the returning officer no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021. As MoveUP’s office remains closed out of precaution for COVID-19, all nomination forms must be submitted directly to the returning officer by email to email@example.com. The nomination form includes submission instructions so make certain you read the entire form and reach out to the Returning Officer if you have any questions.
All candidates who have gone through the approval process may request and access membership contact lists for their constituency as of Tuesday, July 20, 2021. In order to make a request you must go to the member portal and complete and submit a confidentiality agreement form. Membership staff will reply as soon as possible with your constituency list.
A results bulletin notifying candidates who have been acclaimed as well as which positions and/or what constituencies may be going to a vote will be posted to the membership on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. All contested nomination elections will be held by electronic ballot on the MoveUP Member Portal.
