Alma Mater Society – Food & Beverage – Variance Discussion and BBQ

Dear members,
This week, your Union met with your Employer to discuss the incorporation of Food and Beverage workers into the Alma Mater Society Collective Agreement.
The discussions were productive and wide ranging on matters of scheduling, job security, and monetary entitlements. Discussions are set to continue on September 11, 2025.
Next week on Wednesday, August 20th, MoveUP will be hosting a member BBQ at the University Commons 6 – Just behind the Nest building – from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will have burgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian alternatives on offer. Swing by on your break, enjoy some delicious food, and learn more about your Union! We would love to meet you.
