BCGEU – Reduced Pay

To: All MoveUP members at BCGEU
We have been made aware that your employer has reduced your current pay cheque to account for the hours of job action you all participated in on November 9th and 10th. Those in Area Offices should only see 4 hours from the walkout on the 9th missing, while our Headquarter members will see both the 4 hours from the 9th and the 8 hours from the 10th.
We were under the impression that your employer would pay you as normal, with MoveUP reimbursing the final amount. Due to this we need to reproduce your picket pay cheques and will have them ready to send or deliver to you Monday, November 29th.
For the members who were on prescheduled vacation day, please confirm if you are also seeing reduced pay cheques as they should not have been affected by job action.
We do apologize for the delay, as we were not anticipating your employer taking this action against you.
