2021 General Elections – One Week Left to Cast Your Vote

To all MoveUP members at ICBC
Hello MoveUP member,
There is still time for you to vote for your union executive board member if you have not already done so.
There are seven candidates for six executive board positions in this member constituency:

- Dimitri Ossinsky
- Annette Toth
- Brenda Chu
- Brian Martens
- Sheela Kumar
- Gunter Seifert
MoveUP holds elections every three years to elect the governing executive board. Each board member represents a specific group of members, and your executive board constituency is called ICBC. The election has already begun, and you have until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 to vote for the candidates running to represent you. You can find bios and photos, if provided, of your candidates here on the MoveUP election website.
The elections are being conducted electronically through the Member Portal. If you have not used the Member Portal before, you will require your member ID and personal email address to register on to your account. If we do not have your personal email address or you do not know your member ID, please email membership services at membership@moveuptogether.ca.
Do you already use the Member Portal?
That is great. We encourage you to login and ensure your information is up to date (including contact details, employer, and workplace location). That is all you need to do, and you are ready to vote.
Never used the Member Portal?
No problem.
To activate your Member Portal profile, you will need your member ID number. Your member ID number can be found on your membership card provided to you when you first joined MoveUP. Newer members would have received a welcome letter that included their member ID number. You can find the instructions to create a Member Portal profile here.
The Member Portal is a vital hub that gives you access to all the important tools you need as a MoveUP member. It is where you can find information on your membership, including active cases or grievances, as well as where you vote in elections or to ratification votes.
If you are having difficulty signing in to the Member Portal, are unable to activate your account on the Member Portal, or if you have lost your member number, please email membership@moveuptogether.ca and they will assist you.
Voting is Easy
Once you log into the Member Portal you will be directed to the option to vote on screen. This is a secure and confidential web page, and no one will be able to access it but you. Voting will end at 4:30 p.m. on August 30, 2021.
When will we know the results of the election?
The results of the vote will be announced on August 31 once the Returning Officer has been able to verify the results.
