BCNU Staff Spotlight – Leisa Smith

What do BCNU support staff do for the hard-working nurses of BC? Meet Leisa…

Leisa has been a dedicated employee at BCNU for 14 years. She runs the in-house printing at head office and produces election, convention and regional materials for member outreach.

“I feel heartbroken that it’s come to this where we have to fight to keep access to medical and family responsibility leave,” she says. “I’ve had one sick day in the last two years. I’m healthy, but who knows what tomorrow may bring.”

The staff lockout/strike won’t end until BCNU leaders offer administrative and technical employees a ‘no rollbacks’ contract.

Tell BCNU leaders to stand up for their values and walk the talk by negotiating a fair contract with MoveUP.
