MoveUP Supports BC Film Industry

MoveUP’s Executive Board recently voted to support the campaign to save the BC film industry, in solidarity with Teamsters Local 155 and IATSE members and other BC film-industry workers. According to industry representatives, 95% of BC film crews are unemployed right now with productions going elsewhere.
In order for BC to remain competitive with tax credits offered by the other provinces and the rest of the world, the BC Liberal government needs to act. The economic spin-off effect of the film industry for BC in 2011 was $4.39 billion.

Please take a moment to sign this petition to Premier Christy Clark in support of the compelling need to change our tax incentives to support the BC film industry.

Send a letter to the BC government telling them to bargain a fair contract for public sector workers!
