The agreement offers a wage increase and incentive bonus that is fair to all members and provides access to the “Olympic bonus” for the fiscal year of 2009-2010.
Summary of the agreement:
-A general wage increase for all members (11.23% compounded) over the four years.
-An incentive bonus ranging from $3,300 to $4,180
-Similar to other public sector agreements:
- Larger percentage increase for higher wage groups (market adjustments)
- Larger incentive bonus incentive for the lower wage groups to offset the effect of the difference in wage increases.
All wage groups will receive more money than was originally proposed by ICBC: 11.23 % (compounded) compared to the initial offer of 10.44% (compounded).
