Protein for People Free BBQs in Burnaby, Abbotsford & Coquitlam

Protein for People is a non-profit society started in 2006 by unions and the United Way who saw an opportunity to make a real difference. Protein for People is currently working with BC’s salmon canneries to obtain a great source of protein.

BC’s unions and union members have taken a leadership role through cash donations and by connecting local food producers with BC’s food banks. Because of this leadership, tens of thousands of cans of BC salmon help to feed vulnerable people.

Join Protein for People is holding a series of three free community barbeque this month: 

  • Saturday, June 9, Edmonds Community School, 7651 18 Ave, Burnaby from 11 pm – 2 pm
  • Saturday, June 23 at Godson Elementary, 33130 Bevan Ave, Abbotsford from 11 am – 2 pm
  • Sunday, June 24, Mountain View Elementary, 740 Smith Ave, Coquitlam from 11 am – 2 pm
