Canadian Environment Week 2018

MoveUP acknowledges Canadian Environment Week

On behalf of MoveUP’s Environment Committee, we would like to acknowledge the start of Canadian Environment Week.

Established in 1971, Canadian Environment Week takes place annually in June on the week that includes June 5. It is a week where the government will tout their environmental accomplishments, but where they will also actively encourage Canadians to contribute to preserve and protect their environment.

Preserving and protecting our environment should not be something we only think about on certain days or weeks of the year. Instead, it should be something that underlies the decisions we make on a day-to-day basis to keep our planet healthy and safe today and for our future.

For those of you who have not had chance to, we encourage you to visit the Environment Committee page on MoveUP’s website where you will learn about some of the work our committee does as well as resources on how you can make environmentally-conscious decisions daily.

If you’d like to learn more about Canadian Environment Week, visit the Government of Canada’s website.

In solidarity,
