Nearly 150 MoveUP members participated in the 2012 Vancouver Sun Run, making the MoveUP team one of the largest out of the 1,034 participating "corporate" teams.
Almost 49,000 people ran in this year’s Sun Run. It was MoveUP’s biggest team to date. 
Members came from as far away as Prince George and Kamloops to take part. The atmosphere in downtown Vancouver was energetic even at 8:00 AM when members from several different work sites joined President David Black and Executive Board member Melanie Greenlaw at the Meet and Greet breakfast to fuel up before the run.
The race was quite a family affair—several people teamed up with their family members: moms, sons, daughters, dads and cousins all joined to run together. There were several competitive yet friendly husband-wife teams, among them MoveUP Union Representative Glen MacInnes and his wife Monica.
MoveUP is still waiting for the team results. As soon as we have them we will post them online. The union is pleased to have facilitated participation for so many of our members and we look forward to next year.
MoveUP came in 7th out of all teams in the "Other" Category. Congratulations to all our participants.
