Vancouver Red Umbrella March – Saturday, June 11
June 1, 2022
To: MoveUP Members in the Lower Mainland
The Triple-X Workers’ Solidarity Association of British Columbia will be hosting its 10th annual Vancouver Red Umbrella March for Sex Work Solidarity on Saturday, June 11 starting at 2 p.m. from the South Plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Participants are encouraged to wear red and or bring a red umbrella.
In 2019, MoveUP announced our formal position to support the decriminalization of sex work. Since that time, the labour movement in British Columbia has actively stepped up to demonstrate solidarity with sex workers, to recognize the dangers that exist for these workers and the need to have protections available in order for them to have equal access to justice, health care, as well as to leave sex work if and when they choose to do so.
Date: Saturday, June 11, 2022
