RE: Tentative Agreement Reached with IWA-FIBP – Ratification Vote Meeting

To: All MoveUP Members at IWA-FIBP


Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative collective agreement with your employer, IWA-FIBP.

Some highlights of the tentative agreement include:

  • 4 year contract
  • 2.5% increase first year and second year, 2% increase 3rd and 4th year
  • $100 Monthly Parking and Transit Subsidy
  • Increase to Severance Pay
  • Birth Control Coverage
  • Increase to Health Spending Account
  • Increase to Vision Care
  • Increases to Dental Plan
  • Increase in scope of application of Family Responsibility Leave
  • Increase in scope of application of Bereavement Leave
  • Domestic Violence Leave
  • Gender Reassignment Leave

Your bargaining committee is strongly recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement.

We will be holding a meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in order to review the tentative agreement with you. In attendance will be your bargaining committee. This will also be your opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement. The vote will be conducted by secret ballot. Please make every effort to attend.

The meeting details are as follows:

DATE: June 20, 2019
TIME:   12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
PLACE: Auditorium, on-site

**Mail-in ballots are available to all members unable to attend the meeting on June 20, 2019. Please e-mail ksmith@moveuptogether.ca with your name and current home address if you are unable to attend and wish to request a mail-in ballot. Deadline to request a mail-in ballot is 4:00PM Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

The deadline for mail-in ballots to be received by the union office is 4:30PM Wednesday, July 3, 2019. The ballot count is currently scheduled for July 4, 2019.
