PrairieCoast – Bargaining Update #6

Your bargaining committee met with your employer on October 28^th, 2022 to continue negotiations.  We began discussions on monetary proposals such as wages, pension, RRSP, vacation, sick leave, bereavement, statutory holidays etc.

The employer provided costing for the various benefits proposed by the union and expressed an openness for the committee to share what the priorities are for the bargaining unit.

While we have not yet reached a deal, both parties agreed that achieving a deal during our next set of dates would be preferable. We have added two final dates of November 8^th and 9^th, 2022 to the calendar, and have requested and received an extension to the freeze period until then.

Should the parties reach an agreement, a membership meeting will be held to go over the tentative deal with the membership and a ratification vote will also be booked.
