PrairieCoast – Job Action Update #3

To: All MoveUP members at PCE


Following our last membership meeting, on May 17, your union advised your employer that we were in agreement with their most recently tabled deal.

Your employer did not respond until May 31, and their response included many requests for additional language that was not discussed at the bargaining table.

Your bargaining committee is not in agreement with these changes and feels the employer may have been bargaining in bad faith.

Your employer has been given a deadline of 11:00am on Thursday to provide a response in the form of a signed memorandum of agreement, which is needed in order to proceed to a ratification vote.

Should a response not be received, and more importantly, should the memorandum of agreement not be signed by your employer, your union will consider placing a “bargaining in bad faith” complaint with the Labour Board.

We will continue to keep you informed as this matter develops.
