Occupational Health & Safety Update #2

To: All MoveUP Members
Since the outset of the pandemic emergency, MoveUP’s top priority has been the safety and health of members in the workplace.
MoveUP sent out an Exposure Control Plan (ECP) to all MoveUP OH&S Committee Members on March 24, 2020 and asked OH&S Committee members to implement them. The WCB (WorkSafeBC) has since clarified that employers are not required to implement the ECP at this time. So, we ask that OH&S Committee Members not complete the ECP that was sent out to MoveUP members. We apologize for the confusion.
We ask that you continue to be vigilant and work with your OH&S Committees to ensure the employer is putting controls in place to prevent and/or minimize exposure to COVID-19. For guidance, rely on the BC Centre for Disease Control website – Prevention and Risks:
