Notice of By-Election – Nominations Received – Executive Councillor #1663-1664

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC #1663-1664 Area
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor positions. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Lois Edwards and Changiz Durrani have submitted nomination forms for the above positions. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018, Lois Edwards and Changiz Durrani will be declared the successful candidates.
