Join Your Women’s Rights Committee For Our First-Ever Mom’s Night In!

Our Women’s Rights Committee is excited to invite you to join us for our first-ever Mom’s Night In event on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. where we are organizing a private screening of the movie “Wild Nights with Emily” starring Molly Shannon.
The film is based on the life of the iconic Emily Dickinson, her trials and tribulations to become a published poet in a male dominated industry as well as her lifelong romance with another woman. For a deeper synopsis of the film, click here.
We have secured 25 tickets for the movie night at no cost to MoveUP members. If if you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Joanne Banfield at jbanfield@moveuptogether.ca no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. We will then provide you with the link for the movie for viewing on Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have all seen a shift in how we work, interact, and socialize with our peers. With at-home online schooling, no play dates or birthday gatherings, many moms have lost some of their social connections and support circles. Your Women’s Rights Committee wants to change that by offering evenings for our MoveUP mom’s to come together virtually (for now), to watch and discuss movies, books, talk about the stresses of parenting in a pandemic, host guest speakers on topics that are important to our members, and help build a community within our union of mom activists.
We hope you will join us for our first evening on Thursday, October 29!
