ICBC – Information on your Tentative Agreement and Town Hall details

Your bargaining committee is pleased to present the details of your tentative agreement!

As a committee, we feel very confident in this tentative agreement, and we are unanimously recommending that our members vote yes to support this tentative agreement so you can immediately receive the entitlements that we have secured for you as part of your renewed agreement.

Highlights of the Deal Include

Wage increases as follows:

  • Year 1 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) = 3% – retroactive pay for active employees and retirees
  • Year 2 (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027) = 3% – retroactive pay for active employees and retirees
  • Year 3 (July 1, 2027-June 30, 2028) = 3%
  • Year 4 (July 1, 2028-June 30, 2029) = 3%
  • Additional 50 cent increase per hour applied to every step for Salary Groups 5, 6 and 7.

Benefit improvements as follows:

  • Increase from $1,500 to $1,750 combined coverage for all paramedicals effective January 1, 2027
  • Increase from $500 to $600 vision care plus one eye exam every 24 months effective January 1, 2027
  • Increase from $1,750 to $2,000 combined coverage for all paramedicals effective January 1, 2028
  • Increase from 70% to 75% Plan B paramedical coverage effective January 1, 2028
  • Addition of occupational therapists as covered paramedicals effective January 1, 2028
  • Increase in gender affirmation coverage from $10,000 per calendar year to $15,000
  • Hearing Aids coverage increase from $1,000 to $3,000
  • And additional benefits enhancements as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

Other Enhancements

  • A Letter of Understanding to implement a new job evaluation plan including ALL jobs being reevaluated with protection against salary decreases.
  • A Letter of Understanding placing restrictions on how artificial intelligence may be utilized by ICBC.
  • Changes to the way workload concerns are raised with ICBC.

Ratification Town Halls

All active MoveUP members working at ICBC are invited to attend one of the two town hall information sessions where we will walk through the tentative collective agreement and go over the process for ratification voting.

To attend, please register for ONE of the two following town hall information sessions. There is NO time off provided to attend the sessions so please make sure to sign up for the session that works with your schedule.

As we anticipate a significant number of members will take part in the sessions, we ask that questions be submitted in advance, so we have an opportunity to address as many questions as possible during our two sessions.

  1. The signed agreement dated August 19, 2026.
  2. Appendix A. It includes many items, some substantive and some less significant, but all will be part of the renewed agreement.
  3. Appendix B. It lists most of monetary items, including wages, benefit improvements and a few other monetary items.

Ratification Vote Information:

Voting on the tentative agreement will open following the town hall information sessions on Friday, September 4 at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time and will be open until Friday, September 11 at 12 p.m. Pacific Time. All voting will take place electronically on the Member Portal.

To vote, simply log in to the Member Portal and you will see the option to vote on the screen. If you have not already registered a Member Portal account, you will need to do so. You can refer to our online guide or watch the tutorial videos for more information. You will need your membership number and your personal email address to create an account. If you do not know your membership number, please go to moveuptogether.ca/membernumber and complete the online form and you will be contacted within 1 business day.
