Coast Mountain Bus Company – Collective Bargaining and Retroactive Pay Update

MoveUP would like to once again thank you for your participation in the collective bargaining process. The input and support received from members played a crucial role in achieving the results that we did at the bargaining table. 

Your union and the employer are currently working on finalizing the formatting and wording of the renewed collective bargaining agreement.  Once this is completed, we will let everyone know when the new agreement is posted on the MoveUP website. 

We have been advised that the new salary rates should be listed on the next pay cheque (September 22nd) and retroactive payments should be processed by November 3rd.  Not surprisingly the calculations required for determining retroactive pay can be quite challenging.  While we would of course like the money as soon as possible, your bargaining committee advised CMBC that the critical piece in the process is that the payments be correct as mistakes can be very difficult to address.
