BCITSA-Bargaining-Tentative Agreement Reached

To: All MoveUP Members at BCIT Student Association
Your bargaining committee is excited to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with your employer, the BCIT Students’ Association on a First Collective Agreement.
Some highlights of the tentative agreement include:
- Robust job security protections such as a grievance procedure, representational rights, progressive discipline provisions, accommodation provisions, seasonal layoff provisions, recall rights, and more.
- Greater commitments from the employer on communication and consultation with staff.
- Monetary gains in wages, vacation, personal time, and benefit premiums.
Your bargaining committee is strongly recommending ratification of the tentative agreement (click here to view).
We will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, August 25th at 5:30 p.m., in order to review the tentative agreement with you and answer any questions you may have.
We will be conducting an online vote from 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, to 8 a.m. on Friday, August 28. You will be able to cast your vote through the Member Portal. In case you have not yet signed up, please follow the instructions here and register today.
