Alma Mater Society – Memorandum of Understanding #1 – RE: Remote Work

To: All MoveUP members at AMS
As most of you are now aware, your employer has rolled out a new policy regarding remote work and compensation for employee’s ineligible for hybrid work. As there is no language currently in the collective agreement, the employer is within their rights to do this. In agreeing and signing off on this Memorandum of Understanding #1, we now have language that forms part of your collective agreement that the employer is obligated to follow. We have heard that some of you are unhappy with certain aspects of this agreement. Please rest assured that myself and your bargaining committee, Joanne Pickford, and John Lu, intend to address these issues at the bargaining table later this month.
