Nominations for executive councillors to be elected this year by the membership of MoveUP are now open.
Completed nomination forms must be received at the MoveUP office by the deadline of 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020. Should we receive more than one nomination form per area, an election will be called with voting to be held by electronic ballot. Please refer to the February 4 bulletin entitled Electronic Balloting 101 – What you Need to Know for details on how to ensure you are ready to cast a ballot.
Final balloting deadline for any contested nominations will be 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Executive councillors, as per Article 7 of the MoveUP constitution, are elected by the membership to represent them on the MoveUP Executive Council. Each council position has a constituency of members which has been determined in advance by the MoveUP Electoral Committee and approved by the December 2019 council members. All council positions are three-year terms commencing on May 1, 2020 and ending on April 30, 2023.
If you are interested in submitting a nomination form, it must include at least the minimum number of nominators required for the council area you are seeking. Nominators must be members in your executive council area and in good standing. The nomination form is attached here.
