BEEM: PAY EQUITY IN ACTION: SEE YOU AT ARBITRATION!

Dear BEEM Credit Union members,
Since filing our policy grievance in April 2025, we have reached an important milestone—we are finally heading to arbitration this August. This is a significant step in holding BEEM Credit Union accountable and ensuring that our members’ rights are respected. Your union has remained steadfast throughout this process and is committed to seeing it through.
The arbitration will be heard by the highly respected arbitrator, Ken Saunders. Our union is diligently preparing for the hearing and will be bringing forward our strongest arguments and evidence. We are ready to demonstrate why your years of service matter and why they must be properly recognized in both policy and practice.
This policy grievance was filed to address the salary discrepancies affecting employees whose time worked within BEEM Credit Union was not being recognized when determining compensation after joining the union. Simply put, your pay did not accurately reflect your time served with the company. Every hour of service should count, and employees deserve fair and equitable treatment when it comes to compensation.
While this grievance was initially intended to address issues stemming from the Member Hub group, it has become clear that the issue extends far beyond one department. It impacts every employee represented by our union and every future employee who may choose to join us. This arbitration is about fairness, transparency, and protecting the value of your service. We will continue to stand together and fight for the recognition and compensation that all members deserve.
