Defining your Future – Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Pension Plan

To: All MoveUP Members at Community Savings Credit Union
In our recent bargaining survey, members had expressed interest in establishing a defined pension plan. We understand that this was something our members wanted in our last round of bargaining, but the employer was not prepared to discuss the matter and the item was withdrawn.
To date, your union has made the employer aware that our members continue to have interest in a defined pension plan, and we have provided notice to the employer we will continue to pursue this.
Considering this, it has been almost four years since this topic has been raised, and your union feels it is necessary to provide you with up-to-date information on this plan. The Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Pension Plan (CAAT) was proposed to our members back in 2022. We feel this is still a great product for members to consider. We have provided a link to some information regarding their plan.
In addition, your union has organized an information session to allow members to learn and ask questions about the pension plan. Once you have participated in the presentation, please complete a brief survey.
