BCGEU Joint Employment Equity Committee

To: All MoveUP members at BCGEU
Looking to get involved and support your fellow members? We are currently looking for two members plus alternate to join members from UWU and the employer to join the JEEC.
The valuable work of this committee will be to make recommendations to the BCGEU with the following objectives:
- develop a workplace culture that values diversity;
- develop a workforce that is at all levels representative of the diverse membership served;
- enhance employment and career opportunities for all groups;
- create and ensure harassment free workplaces.
Our presence on the committee will also ensure your employer will participate in meaningful consultations with our members when selecting EDI training and facilitators.
The committee will meet on a quarterly basis or as agreed to by the parties.
