ICBC – NEW Bargaining Webpage & Bargaining Update #4

Your bargaining committee is excited to announce a new bargaining web page to help you stay informed on the progress of negotiations! This web page is a central location where you can find information about the status of bargaining, view the proposals, the timeline and more.
Your bargaining committee met with ICBC again on March 17 and 18 to continue negotiations. The parties exchanged a number of counter proposals on non-monetary items and engaged in some discussions around topics important to the membership, including the Auto Claims Model, psychologically healthy workplace language, mental health first aid, remote work, seniority, and more.
The Parties continue to have discussions on non-monetary items. We put forward a significant package of proposals, a lot of which are complex, requiring much discussion. We have many more bargaining dates coming up and are hopeful that we can progress quickly with negotiations in the coming months.
Some of you may have heard the news that ICBC’s lead negotiator, Mike Hancock, has been appointed to the role of Associate Chair of the Labour Relations Board. We have been advised that this role won’t be starting until September and in the meantime he will remain to be ICBC’s lead negotiator.
What’s Next?
The Parties will be coming together to bargain on the following dates:
March 31 & April 1, 2026
April 14, 15, 2026
May 6, 7, 2026
May 27, 2026
June 1, 3, 2026
June 16, 17, 18, 2026
June 22, 23, 2026
