MoveUP youth activists – Call out for help!

To: All MoveUP youth activists
The upcoming provincial election is one of the most important provincial elections in our history as a union. The vast majority of our members’ jobs are on the line, with the BC Conservative Party stating they will “End ICBC Monopoly” and promote privatization if they take power.
MoveUP will be running text and phone bank nights in October to reach out to our members encouraging them to go vote, and informing them on why they should vote for the NDP in order to protect their jobs.
We would love your help with our text and phone bank nights! All volunteer nights will take place from 5:30-7:30pm. Note that texting will take place through a software program and can be done remotely, or at the MoveUP office. (We are still looking into remote phone banking options).
Dates are as follows:
Thursday, October 3rd – Text Night
Wednesday, October 9th – Text Night
Thursday, October 10th – Phone Night
Tuesday, October 15th – Text Night
Thursday, October 17th – Phone Night
Please see Election Volunteer Guide, which provides more detail on what text and phone banking is, and how you would help out as a volunteer during those nights. (It’s easy! And the Communications team will be available for any help you may need).
