(EC #1534 -#1535 are at-large positions representing all members employed at FortisBC Energy Inc. at Abbotsford Muster, Burnaby Ops, Burnaby Stores 1, Burnaby Stores 2, Burnaby Horne, Chilliwack Muster, Cranbrook, FBC Centre, Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley Muster, North Vancouver, Penticton Commercial, Penticton Okanagan, Port Coquitlam Muster, Prince George, Richmond Muster, Trail, Vernon and Glenmore Substation.) (EC #1535 is available).
Term Ending: April 30, 2026
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day-to-day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.
Michael Bast has submitted a nomination form for the above position.
If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 13, 2024, Michael Bast will be declared the successful candidate.
