BC College of Nurses and Midwives Tentative Agreement Reached
February 5, 2024
To: All MoveUP Members at BCCNM
We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative collective agreement with your employer. The tentative agreement includes:
- 4 year agreement with full retroactivity, from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027 as follows:
Effective January 1, 2024 4.50% Increase to all Categories
Effective January 1, 2025 3.50% Increase to all Categories
Effective January 1, 2026 3.00% Increase to all Categories
Effective January 1, 2027 2.50% min Increase to all Categories plus* CPI to a max of 3.00%
*Average Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on previous calendar year from January 1 to December 31
- National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30th) added to the list of holidays.
- Maternity Top-up language 75% of basic pay for 16 weeks.
- First Responders Leave.
- Improvement to Benefits.
- Updating definition of protected ground for discrimination.
The parties agree to unanimously recommend acceptance of this Memorandum of Agreement to their respective principals.
We will be holding a meeting on Tuesday February 6, 2024, in order to review the tentative agreement with you.
In attendance will be myself, Daniel Storms, your union representative to answer any questions you may have about the Memorandum of Agreement.
