Picket lines at CMBC beginning Monday, January 22 

CUPE Local 4500 has announced they will be setting up picket lines at CMBC on Monday, January 22nd at 3 a.m. This job action is expected to last for two days and will includes a full suspension of all buses and the SeaBus unless a settlement is reached before that. 

MoveUP members will, of course, be supporting any picket lines that appear at their places of work. We want to let our members know in advance that they will need to make alternative arrangements. 

 While the buses and SeaBus will not be running, the following systems will continue to operate: 

• SkyTrain 

• HandyDART 

• Canada Line  

• West Coast Express 

We recommend that members who are reliant on the bus system sign up for Transit Alerts at translink.ca/alerts and/or follow @Translink on X (Twitter). MoveUP will also do our best to update the ongoing situation on our social media channel on Facebook. 

We will work to keep our members apprised of any updates.
