BCH & Powertech – Bargaining Update # 5 – Agreement reached for stand-by for Field Services Administrators
October 24, 2022
To: All MoveUP members at BCH & Powertech
We are pleased to announce to that we have agreed to a pilot stand-by letter of understanding (LOU) for Field Services Administrators (FSAs) effective immediately for the duration of one year.
Back in 2019 during bargaining, we proposed and agreed on a pilot project memorandum of understanding (MOU) with stand-by language for some classifications, however, at that time, your employer declined to include FSAs in the pilot MOU.
In this year’s bargaining survey, your bargaining committee received numerous requests to propose stand-by language for FSAs. Knowing how important this issue was to you, we made sure to make this a focus in our discussions with your employer and we are pleased to reach this agreement for this pilot project.
We will be discussing stand-by language more during our upcoming bargaining.
Thank you for your continued support.
In solidarity,
Your bargaining committee:
Mike Novak, Union Representative
Javed Saheb, Union Representative
