Vancouver Shipyards – Supreme Court Decision

As many of you have heard, your employer filed an injunction application in the Supreme Court alleging that the Canadian Merchant Service Guild was illegally picketing at the Vancouver Drydock, as well as the W building.

After days of presenting arguments, Justice MacIntosh issued judgement on Tuesday, September 27 and dismissed both of the employer’s applications.

The picket lines outside of Vancouver Drydock, as well as W building, have been deemed a legal picket.
