Community Savings Credit Union – Tentative Agreement Reached

Your union and the employer met for bargaining on July 22, 2022.  Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the employer.

We will be holding a membership meeting on July 27, between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., via Zoom. The link will be sent to your home email address under separate cover. Your bargaining team will review the tentative agreement with you and answer any questions you may have. Upon conclusion of this meeting, you will be able to vote on it through the Member Portal. Some highlights of the tentative agreement are as follows:

• Wage increases:

• • Year 1:     5%
  • Year 2:     3%
  • Year 3:     2%
  • Year 4:     2%
  • If the posted average Bank of Canada CPI rate (based on the 12-month period: May to May from the previous year) is greater than the July 1st stated pay increase, the Employer agrees to process an annual percentage increase of the difference, up to a maximum of 5% total annual increase.
  • One time signing bonus is $500 at ratification.
• Health care spending account increases from $300 to $500.
• National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is added to Article 7.01 (a).
• The premium for Part-Time Regular employees increases from 10% to 11%.
• The training premium increases from $1 to $2 per hour.
• The Systems shift premium increase from $1 to $2 per hour.
• The total of accruable first year vacation days increases from 10 days to 15 days.
• The minimum promotional increase goes from $50 to $60 per month.
