Victoria Shipyards Ratification Meeting and Electronic Voting

Your union, along with all of the affiliated unions at Victoria Shipyards, will be holding membership meetings as follows:

Date:    Thursday, April 7, 2022

Time:   12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – or – 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Place:   DaVinci Center, 195 Bay Street, Victoria, BC

The purpose of this meeting is to provide you with the relevant information on the tentative memorandum of settlement that your union reached with the employer.

There will be very important information provided at these meetings and we encourage you all to attend.

For those of you who are not able to attend the meeting in person, I will also be holding a virtual information session as follows:

Time:   6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Information to log in to Zoom for the virtual meeting will be sent out to you.

Each union will be conducting their own ratification votes at their respective union halls, with all voting closing on Wednesday, April 13.

After our meeting on April 12, we will be opening up online voting. You will need to have member portal access in order to vote. If you have not yet signed up for the member portal, please do so before Tuesday. If you need your membership number to sign up, please contact membership@moveuptogether.ca.

Voting will be open on Tuesday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. and will close on Wednesday, April 13 at 4:30 p.m.

Details on how to vote online will be sent to you.

If you are able to, please attend one of the in-person meetings tomorrow.
