Ecojustice – Bargaining Update #3 – Tentative Agreement Reached

To: All MoveUP members at Ecojustice Canada


We are pleased to announce that the Employer and the Union have reached a tentative agreement.  Your bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement and some of the highlights include:

  • 3 Year Collective Agreement
  • 3 distinct forms of compensation increases available to all employees
  1. General Wage Increases : 3% Year 1, 2% Year 2, 2% Year 3.
  2. Implementation of stepped salary grid, guaranteeing salary increases rewarding continued employment with Ecojustice Canada every calendar year for 5 years
    Step 2 : .5%, Step 3 : .82%, Step 4 : 1.15%, Step 5 : 1.47%
  3. Market rate adjustments for all positions available on November 30th, ranging from 0.5% to 18%
  4. Day one increases as follows :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Comprehensive language amendments focussing on equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Implementation of a hybrid 3 day work-from-home program as the standard, with optional implementation to work regularly from home by mutual agreement
  • Minimum $400.00 annual professional development allowance
  • Increase to Employer RRSP contribution rate from 3% to 5%, irrespective of employee contribution amount. 5% employer contribution guaranteed even without employee contribution.
  • Implementation of Employee & Family Assistance Program

We will be holding a meeting on November 25, 2021 in order to review the tentative agreement with you.
