Your Bargaining Committee is pleased to confirm that the Parties have agreed to terms for a new Collective Agreement. Given the uncertainties many have faced during this pandemic, the Parties agreed to a shorter term, and will negotiate a new Collective Agreement in the fall of 2021. Nonetheless, we were able to make several improvements in this two year deal.
Highlights of the new Agreement:
- Two year term – January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021
- Wage increases as follows:
- January 1, 2020 – 1% (retroactive)
- July 1, 2020 – 1% (retroactive)
- January 1, 2021 – 2%
- Leave for medical/dental appointments increased from 12 hours to 18 hours per year.
- Gender Transition Leave
- Domestic or Sexual Violence Leave
- Compassionate Care Leave
- Increase to vision care to $600/24 months.
- Increase in Life Insurance to $70,000
- Increase in severance for automation reasons to a maximum of 32 weeks.
