To: All MoveUP Members at the Amadeus Music Academy
On behalf of our union, I would like to personally welcome all of you to the MoveUP family. We are thrilled that so many of you at Amadeus Music Academy have chosen to join a union and chosen us to represent you both collectively and individually with the employer. This is a role we take very seriously, and we thank you for entrusting this to us.
Being part of a union means you now have a stronger, and a more unified voice in your workplace. This is a critical part of shaping the terms and conditions that affecting your work environment. We are excited to meet all of you soon to discuss the issues at your workplace, find out what matters most to you, and negotiate a collective agreement that best suits you and your co-workers.
Whether you are new to a unionized environment or have been in a unionized position in the past, we realize that you may have many questions about how being a MoveUP member will affect you at your workplace. As a reminder, union dues are tax-deductible and are only 1.5% of your gross wages. We will not collect any dues until we have finished negotiations and you have ratified a collective agreement.
Your union representative will be in touch with you shortly to set up meeting times. If you have not done so already, please make sure that your union representative has all your updated contact information including email and personal phone number.
