A friendly reminder from your Union to not work extra without getting compensation

Working for free hides the shortage(s) in labour, which the employer needs to know to keep evolving your work-loads reasonable.  Working these unpaid extra hours can also impact other employees that may not be able to complete their work load in a regular day. If you are required to work extra hours, please complete the assigned work, request for overtime authorization, and if the request is denied, please ask your supervisor to prioritize your work.
