Women’s Rights Committee supports UWLM’s Tampon Tuesday campaign

In support of the United Way of the Lower Mainland’s campaign aimed at women who are unable to afford a life necessity, MoveUP’s Women’s Rights Committee members are collecting product and/or cash for Tampon Tuesday.

We realize this can be an uncomfortable subject for some but it is a reality for women who live on the streets and have to choose between buying feminine hygiene products or milk and other provisions for their families. This is especially true for families consisting of two or more women, or families that are new to this country.

The donations of product and/or cash will be collected and then brought to the United Way where they will be distributed to shelters.

Look for the Tampon Tuesday Donation Box sign at your workplace or contact a participating member of the Women’s Rights Committee if you would like to donate cash. If you are at a workplace that is not participating and you would like to donate cash, please contact Rysa Kronebusch at rkronebusch@moveuptogether.ca.

All donations must be collected by March 12th, 2018 at noon.

Thank you
