By-Election – Executive Councillor Area # 1471 – Election Required

To: All MoveUP members in EC area # 1471 at work
Members in area # 1471 are employed at BC Federation of Labour, BC Regional Council of Carpenters, Boilermakers 191, Carpenters Local 1598, Ecojustice Canada, IBEW 230, Marine & Boilermakers Local 1, SEIU Local 2, TWU, TWPP, Unifor 1928, and UFAWU.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In the recent by-election, the deadline for nomination forms to be received at the union office was Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 4:30 pm. At that time, nomination forms to fill the above position were received from the following members:
– Maggie Valenzuela
– Maria Peralta
As per the constitution, mail ballots will be mailed to each member’s last known home address. Please ensure that the union office has your current address by visiting the MoveUP member portal. If you have not yet registered for the member portal, click here for instructions.
If you do not receive a ballot by January 29, please contact Joanne at jbanfield@moveuptogether.ca or by calling the union office (604-299-0378) in order to request a new ballot be sent to your home. Requests received after that date may not allow for enough time to be returned to your home.
The deadline to receive ballots in the union office is Friday, February 9, 2018 at 4:30 pm.
