DA Townley – Membership Meeting
December 12, 2017
To: All MoveUP members at DA Townley
Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Friday, December 8, 2017 to discuss the status of collective bargaining.
During the meeting the employer communicated to the bargaining committee that it seeks to consolidate the two bargaining units (MoveUP and CUPE1816).
As the CUPE bargaining unit is significantly larger than the MoveUP bargaining unit, the preference of the employer is to have MoveUP members merged into the CUPE bargaining unit.
Your union will be holding a meeting early in the new year to discuss options and what the next steps will be.
Please be advised that President David Black, Union Representatives and Bargaining Committee Members will attend the meeting to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.

Place: MoveUP Office, Suite 301-4501 Kingsway, Burnaby – McPherson Room
