ICBC Members Raise Money for Typhoon Victims

When Chris Rogers-Tongko and Bien Matute heard about the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, they wanted to do something to help. Both have family ties to the Philippines and knew how important it was that aid get there as quickly as possible to support those affected by the crisis. These two MoveUP members at ICBC Head Office in North Vancouver took it upon themselves to organize a 50/50 draw. They got a permit for the draw, promoted the contest, and recruited volunteers to sell tickets.

Together they raised a  total of $1227.00 (50% of the proceeds plus donations) for the Canadian Red Cross, which will be matched by the Canadian government for a total of $2454.00!
