About Our Job Action

Konica Minolta staff are unionized workers represented by MoveUP. We have been at the bargaining table since May 2024 trying to negotiate a fair deal and we have no other choice but to take job action.

As cost of living rises and Canadians everywhere are faced with uncertainty with the ongoing economic war, Konica Minolta is not only refusing to discuss a wage increase but they are demanding concessions from us. Our ability to provide quality service to you will be severely damaged if we cannot afford to work here.

How you can help

We are taking job action to let our employer know that we deserve to be treated with respect. The first step in this job action is to demonstrate our solidarity with our union. That is why we are wearing our MoveUP shirts. We are doing this as a first step to bring awareness to our issue without disrupting Konica Minolta’s clients, who we are devoted to supporting. We want to reach a fair deal without needing to take steps that would affect our clients and their businesses, but we need your help.

Dear Mr. Mottillo,

I am writing to you in support of the unionized workers at Konica Minolta Canada, represented by MoveUP.

I am disappointed that the company is asking the workers to take concessions in negotiations. These workers provide high-quality technical services to Konica Minolta’s clients and should be compensated fairly. Our business relies on the support of these workers, and they deserve to have a job that allows them to provide for themselves and their families.

I am calling on Konica Minolta to return to the bargaining table and reach an agreement that provides these workers with better working conditions and a fair wage.
