Yellow Cabs – A Safe Respectful Workplace

January 28, 2022

To: MoveUP Members at Yellow Cabs

Although everyone is facing the same pandemic threat, not everyone is facing the same circumstances. We are all managing an increased cognitive load as we continue to adapt to new protocols, new procedures and new challenges. It is important to remember being kind and patient with our colleagues today, tomorrow and going forward.

All employees have a right work in an environment which is free of personal and/or sexual harassment. Any discriminatory behaviour at or related to the workplace which denies an individual their dignity or respect or which adversely affects their terms or conditions of employment by creating an intimidating, coercive, restrictive, offensive, embarrassing or humiliating work environment is considered to be personal harassment.

Your union has been in communication with the employer to discuss its responsibilities of protecting your health and safety under the Workers Compensations Act, and we want to ensure that the employer has a clear, fair and consistent approach to address your workplace concerns. Please contact me via telephone at 604-473-3861 between January 31 and February 4, 2022. Discussions with your union representative are confidential.

It is very important that we have your most current contact information. You can update us here.

In solidarity,

Anny Chen, Union Representative
