Wage Increase for ICBC Employees Set for July 1, 2021

June 30, 2021

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC

This coming Canada Day, many folks will spend time with family and friends as we move into Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan. No question, this will be a reason to celebrate as we see the cases of COVID-19 continue to drop and the number of eligible British Columbians who can get vaccinated, rise. Regardless of how you plan to spend Canada Day, for the MoveUP members at ICBC, we will have one other reason to celebrate.

On July 1, we’ll receive another 2% wage increase, which was agreed to by ICBC and MoveUP in the last round of collective bargaining. Wage increases for 2021 total 3% with an increase of 1% this past March 1st and now 2% on July 1st. Since ratifying our collective agreement last June, we have received a total of 8.3% compounded increases, including the retroactive increase back to 2019, and two increases in 2020.

On behalf of all the staff and officers of MoveUP, I would like to wish you and your family a safe and happy Canada Day.

In solidarity,

Annette Toth
Vice-President
